David Collins

David is a primary school teacher. He joined KEC in 1989 and has served as an elder since 1995. He is married to Jennifer; they have three children.

Craig, recently retired from business is married to Ruth and has four children.

Glenn Moorcroft

Glenn Moorecroft

Glenn is a graduate of Queens University, Belfast and has made a career in the Northern Ireland Civil Service. He has been at KEC since 1991 and has been overseeeing our children's and youth ministries for more than ten years. Glenn is married to Catherine; they have five children.

Andrew Collins

Andrew, a consultant psychiatrist for the NHS, specialises in Psychiatric Intensive Care. He is also engaged part-time in biblical counselling. As well as offering a counselling service he regularly provides teaching and training on pastoral and mental health issues for churches and Christian organisations. His counselling is based on the conviction that the Word of God is a sufficient guide for living in the world today. Andrew is married to Nicola; they have five children.

What
is an Elder?

Elders are men who are qualified and appointed to oversee the church. The Bible helps us understand their responsibilities by comparing them to shepherds.

Elders lead the church: they care for the people who belong to it, they see to it that they are fed with all the teaching and support they need to develop and grow strong as believers, they protect them from wrong teaching and they hold them accountable to God's word.

Elders must set a good example. They must understand and be able to teach God's word correctly and they must be able to refute wrong teaching.
