Worship

Each Sunday morning we come together to worship the Lord. We sing hymns and psalms, pray together and listen to teaching from the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God's word: the original words were inspired by Him and have been reliably preserved for us. We believe that the Bible teaches us about God and that it is the only totally reliable guide for our lives. For that reason we always aim to present its teaching with faithfulness to what God has said and in such a way that can be understood by everyone.

Each week, after the morning service, we remember the Lord's death by celebrating the Lord's Supper.

Our morning service is normally conducted by our pastor Dr Stephen McAuley. To hear teaching from recent services visit KEC Audio by clicking on the menu bar.

It is good to round off the Lord's Day by meeting with His people again in the evening. Although the numbers are smaller, the evening service can be a time of special fellowship and blessing. Responsibility for leading the evening service is shared among some of the men in the congregation. On the first Sunday evening of each month we have a guest service which has anl evangelistic emphasis. After the evening service most of us stay for a cup of tea and a chat. Sometimes it is quite late when we eventually close up — but you don't have to stay if you don't want to!

If you do not attend another church, or if you are visiting the area please come and join us. You will be made very welcome.

Bible Study

On Thursday evening we meet to study the Bible. Bible teaching is normally followed by discussiont. If you want to learn from God's word you are welcome to join us. Notes from recent Bible studies are available by clicking on KEC Studies on the menu bar.

Prayer

Prayer is an important part of our lives and it is a part of all our meetings but in addition we meet specifically to pray together before our Sunday evening service and on Saturday morning.

Sunday School and Youth Activities

God has blessed us with a great group of children and young people who are an important part of our church family. We take the responsibility He has given us to teach them His word and and set a good example of how it can be applied to every-day life very seriously.

Our Sunday School, for children ages 4 – 11, meets every Sunday morning from 10:00 until 10:45. We also have a Bible Class for teenagers that meets at the same time. Our Youth Fellowship and Youth Club meet on alternate Friday evenings.
